First comp behind with this rig!

I got the rig on thursday night. Last day before the competition. After "few" mojitos in the beach bar I went to get it from Tobias. Really cool rig!!

Quickly did the setup for MT-4 and head for the rocks at 2AM in the night just to find out that the french and italian guys are there doing some training with headlights!

Got some serious spotting from Cirederf to get my lines correctly.

This training session will be remembered for a long time.

Few hours after that we got up and made the courses for 1.9. What a weather!

So, to this point I had one battery of training. Oh well, that should be enough.

I have to admit, it looks so darn cool!

Checking out the lines with my nr. 1 rival of the day, David.

First course on the way!

Had to take a tactical reverse. Bummer...

Little bit more challenging course two here.

Rig was working just like the one I loaned from Tobias in the Nordics, if not even better.

So easy and predictable to drive.

First reverse to this bonus didn't go as planned. You'll see that from video soon.

Drove eleven of twelve bonuses of this day.

This brand new rig really was shining under Spanish sky.

Another tactical reverse to clear gate ten.

Course four looked really tricky before we got to drive it.

Rig was working even better on some spots that I had imagined. I could switch the line as I drove and the confidence to the rig was rising gate by gate.

This was definately one of the coolest gates of the comp.

No problem for SuDu Zero.

Rig felt suprisingly stable on downhill as well.

I just have to give props for David, who cleared this bonus without any problems. Really nicely done buddy!!

The most challenging course of the day. Team Ottsix course 5.

Managed to drive without mistakes right until the last bonus.

Spring setup seemed to be spot on for this comp.

Here is the hard bonus. It was steeper than it looks to be.

All of this wouldn't be possible without DravTech! Thanks Tobias again!

On the way to last course.

Till this point I was already quite confident about the performance.

Nothing would stop Vätte being number one!

Going for the fierce downhill bonus.

Here you can see. It doesn't lift the rear even at this angle.
Time for.....

I had no bigger problems on this course. Tactical reverse to gate six. I bet it would not have been do able to turn with that grip. Stupid reverse on the second bonus though. Always little things to improve.

For me this was the worst course of the day. One really stupid reverse before gate ten and one none driven bonus. I didn't go for it after seeing what happened to David. It looked too tricky to gain any points.
Holmes Hobbies Course - (-37/-40)

In this course I made a small mistake by reversing too far at the approach to bonus. That's why I made one extra reverse. Could have ended up lot worse though.

Another tactical reverse to gate ten and it's another progress!!

Un-Bolt from Norway did this course. For me honestly it looked really tricky before I went for it. Tricky, but do able.

Everything went as planned and I was able to make perfect run from here. I was stunned how well the little one could climb these steep cliffs.

This course was easily the hardest of the day. Lot's of steep sidehill gates and some, which I wasn't too sure about. The second bonus was a real killer though. David drove it before me and made it look easy. I went for it and wasn't sure if it's drive able even after few reverses. Luckily though the grip was found and I cleared it after four reverses.

This was the course, that I made first in the morning with just headlight as my company. Turned out to be suprisingly hard.

It took me two reverses to clear it and I was one happy guy after gate ten. I love this rig!!

Counting points at the beach restaurant.

Victory with 25 point difference to David. That was one tight comp!

Congrats to David for the second spot and our team chief Tobias for making it 3/3 to SuDu Zero!!

Here are the results.

Feels good to be back on top in 1.9 class!

I have absolytely ZERO complains of the performance!

And I really did have good time in Spain!

A big thanks goes to all the sponsors, who stepped up for supporting the very first EuroCrawl. Hats off.

Big thanks to everyone that helped me during the weekend. It really means everything to me.

Allthough this was only the first comp of this rig's career it's time to thank my sponsors:
DravTech
RC4WD
Ottsix
PURPMART
Offipaita.fi
Krawler Konceptz
Joined effort pays off!

Next stop for this rig is hopefully some comp in Finland during next spring. If not, we will see Vätte in the Nordics next time.
