Yesterday, I had enough time to get this thing going.


All electronics are working perfectly. No smoke what so ever. I really had to narrow down the EPA's from the TX, cause the motors are really making this thing fly.


It's looking much better at the moment than my pro. I only have to clean those receiver wires together, so they will all be in the same spot, without moving too much. Other than that, it's ready to go.

It's all there now. Except for soldering the batteries.


Now we'll just have to continue with Sofi's shafty build next.

Smurfette is finally done! I was able to try it today and this time with my own electronics But because of the snow I had to forget the rocks and concentrate my driving on the carage floor... Even though the floor was a bit slippery I could still feel the power of smurfette. Yeah, it flies. Can't wait to get to the rocks!

At RFOT's Crawl Cup #1/12 Arctic Special tomorrow!

Sofi started her season in Arctic Special with pro class as well.


The only thing, that would've made the weather perfect would have been the sun. But it was awesome nevertheless.


Driving Smurfette first time with it's own electronics and the Holmes motors.


Terrain was extreme. Icy and snowy rocks.

Sofi on course three. The best course for her all day. Only two reverses.


On first three courses the driving was really good, but on fourth course Sofi didn't make it to the finishing line. Too bad, it would have been close fight with Saku.


Third place for Smurfette. Good thing was, that the rig is working great. There's nothing that we have to change before the next comp in February.


It was already dark when we finished the comp. But awesome day with some top drivers. Good way to start the season!

Next time Smurfette will be in action on February 21st at indoor comp in Lahti, Finland. Already waiting for that of course.

It was the first comp for smurfette with my own electronics. Weather conditions were interesting. I can say that I had some good and some bad performances. Smurfette is amazingly good car to drive because everything works perfectly. I noticed that those motors have a lot of power. Brilliant motors!

Car went smoothly on the snow thanks to the great voodoos! I had few stupid gates but a lot of training with smurfette! All in all it was a fun race. After this artic special I'm really looking forward to our INDOOR competition

Nothing much to do before next weekends indoor competition.


New shock oils. 40wt to all four.


RTR weight before the comp.


Will definately be interesting how Sofi will manage indoors. We have a record in participation coming to saturdays comp. Ten starters in pro class!


The organizing team has worked hard for making best terrain as possible for this comp.

Personally I'm waiting for top 6-8 result with this rig for Sofi. Lets see. Pics and video will follow of course.

Yet another comp coming with this car tomorrow. Awesome company and talented drivers in the bunker! Smurfette has been working amazingly but let's see how it works in the indoor comp.   8)

Indoor comp in the Bunker is now behind. Let's see some footage!


Some new elements for this years competition in the Bunker. Guys have made these really cool!


Smurfette on first course makin them pullers do a hymn.


Rig was working flawless the whole day. Not a single problem.


Pro class winner LaaLaa looks the course through before Sofi gets on her way.


Sofi drove the first course really well. Rest of the courses DNF, but they surely were tough.


You would have to get perfect lines to these gates, if you don't wanna screw them up. Outdoors it's different. You have tons of room to go and get another line most of the time.


I was pleased to see, that Sofi drove so well indoors. This will be a good season!

Here is the first course on video. Second best score in this one! Really good driving!


Sixth spot in eleven driver field. That's really respective effort by Sofi. Let's keep it up in the future too!

There's another five weeks to the next comp, but in the mean time, I think we will have to do some training, if the weather lets us. We'll see. Rig is in perfect shape, would be foolish to start messing around the setup now.

Bunker race behind! I'm really pleased about my driving. Smurfette works still extremely well so I know that I could have done even better result with it. Tracks were quite difficult. As Samu said there is no room for getting another line to the gates. You have to be extremely exact to get the lines right. But it was good that tracks were difficult because they were the same to all. Of course my pullers helped a lot! Those motors keep surprising me Excellent day with great company! Next time some outdoor racing and hopefully even better results!

Sofi has been incredibly busy with school after the last comp. I drove couple of batteries and tried to see if it needs anything.


I figured out that it'll need a bit extra weight in the front.


Old weight setup.


New one. One half brass circle more each side. Should be better in steep climbs. Otherwise the rig is working like it should.


She's ready to kick some more butt!


This comp site is good for Sofi and Smurfette. They finished in the 2nd Fence Puzzle in third place. Let's hope that the lines will be found.

Personally I'm expecting top five position.

Next RFOT's crawl cup race tomorrow! Again some new driving experience with pro class. Weather conditions are pretty interesting here in Finland at the moment. But I don't really see that weather conditions would be a problem with Smurfette! That rig has been working so well. Let's see how it goes tomorrow. Looking forward. On top of all I'm really honored to represent Ottsix from now on.   :)

Well, third comp of the year is done.


The starting point for the comp could have been better for Sofi. No training after the last comp. Luckily the rig is still as good as it was last time.

Seven drivers were in this comp. Sofi started well on the first course.

On the third course the mood turned. DNF on gate nine meant, that Sofi's name was gonna drop down in the list...


Few dumb gates on the courses is just too much in comp like this. But luckily though, it's all about the lack of training. Just more wheeltime ensures the good basic performing.


Rig is working excellent and now there's only one way from here.

First course on video. This was the best performance of the day for Sofi. This kind of driving would be needed for every course.


Sevent position this time. Just training and we are back in the game.

Unfortunately though, Sofi can't make it to our next team event after two weeks. She'll be on the line for finnish series comp one in may.

RFOT's Crawl Cup comp behind. Pro class wasn't the one for me this time. Comp started with good results from the first course but then few gates, more stupid mistakes and I ended up with last position in the comp What is sure is that no blame on the rig it works like a dream. More practise for me perhaps Still, after every comp I've got a bit more knowledge of Smurfette. So training, training and more training. Hopefully better results next time!
