Location: Hulvik in Vestby. approx. 40 km south of Oslo and approx. 95 km from Gardermoen Airport.

Transport: Norwegian.no flies out of Helsinki to/from Gardermoen from NOK 598,-/€74.50 (flight DY1187/DY1198). We have arranged a Mini Bus with a capacity of 16 passangers to pick you up at the airport on Friday, transport you to the site where you are staying, to and from the comp site on Saturday/Sunday and back to the airport Sunday evening/night.

Accommodation: We have looked at www.vestbyhotell.no   They have small cottages, apartments and a regular camping site for tents/RV's/campers. The prices are reasonable and are located close to the comp site.[/size][/font]

Link to US rules as of 2012

The class closest to the old "normal" and widely used 1.9" Class is the "Class-2 Trail".

This class would most likely be the largest on our end as we do not have many rigs in the smallest class.

The parking spot is aprrox. 200-250 meters from the parking.

I would definately think, that "Class 2-Trail" would be the one to go with in scale class.

I like it as last year.
Was it class 2 + 1 with scale points.

If possible use rueles that have already been proven.
No a new rules every year.
It always take a time to know what new rules allows and how different people read them between the lines.

Well the 2012 Class-2 Trail rules are basically the same as last years rules.


All they basically did for this year was to better define some of the descriptions and limitations to avoid misinterpretation, but they are basically the same.


We decided already back in 2010 ahead of the 2011 season and Nordics that we would follow the US rules as every other European country.


Since these rules work well for the 10.000 + drivers in the US we see no reason why they shouldn't work here for 50 + drivers ?


The rules are pretty liberal for Class-2 Trail and you have the same bonus system for scale accessories/functions.

This makes everything way easier than reinventing the wheel all over again and ensures that we get some sort of consistency in the


judging of the vehicles   ;)  


The courses for the 2012 Nordics will also have an upper time limit and you will not be able to winch THROUGH a gate.


If time allows you can winch your vehicle all the way up (usually) to the gate but have to detach (unhook) the winch cable upon entering the gate   ;)


This is to ensure that the gates are driven and not just winched through.


There will also be a few bridges and hopefully quite fun elements in the courses being made for the scale class   :D


Regarding the time available to get to now the "new" rules there are 6 months to the 2012 Nordics.


Should be enough time to read up on the very few changes being made   :D

If we had those last year then there isn't anything new.
Some small updates are ok.
But i don't like that stright max time. if the time is loose and you don't have to hurry it's ok.

Please take note of this:

[font=arial]This will give you a discount, based on number of total reservations/order, when paying for the reservation.[/font]

[font=arial]This was the only way to do it other than making reservations up front and paying a deposit for number of reservations.[/font]

Registration gives me an option to join all three classes. Is that correct?

Just to be sure, we are driving Sportman-class, not 2.2s. So bodiless vehicles are ok?

Bent on ottanut herneet nenään jostain ja vetäytynyt kaikista järjestäjän hommista. Siellä on muuta porukkaa järkkäämässä mutta he eivät ilmeisesti käy enää täällä päivittämässä tietoja.

Lienee siis parasta käydä norjalaisten foorumilla kyselemässä niin saa vastauksiakin.
