On last weekend, I was able to get the super running. Finally! Kuva

Kuva
First things first. Let's put clothes on before going outdoors, shall we. Kuva

Kuva
That's the coolest stuff on the planet! Kuva

Kuva
More skins. Kuva

Kuva
Hood attached.

Kuva
Clothes on! Kuva

Kuva
On a tough gate this is my view! Kuva

Kuva
God, I have to get CF motor savers. Kuva

Kuva
Really happy to see all of the trio driveable and looking like ready! Kuva

Kuva
RFOT test day can begin! Kuva

Kuva
Symphony of black and orange right there! Kuva

Kuva
I honestly think this is the best desing by Michelle so far. Nothing compares to this. Kuva

Kuva
She is ready for hot summer! Kuva

Kuva
I can't thank enough Michelle and Rob in Krawler Konceptz. Skins are 80% of rigs looks and I'm more than happy of all of mine. Kuva

Then comes the driving bit.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=p ... sPiXWjZHUk
Watch this all the way to the end. Bounty line for supers is the dessert. Kuva

I have never driven anything quite this special before. This thing is dialed in straight from the work bench! Kuva It keeps amazing me time after time and that steering is something, I've never seen in super. Those E.Y. Designs Voodoos are just the right height for it. Jeez I'm excited to do even more training! Kuva Too bad I broke a bearing from the rear axle at the end. I haven't opened the axle yet, but I'm confident it's just a bearing and the gears are still in order. I'll put it back on the rocks very soon. Kuva

DravTech Super SuDu seems to be one hell of a chassis too! Kuva Great work Tobias!! Kuva

Anyhow...

Kuva
I heard some bad noises from the rear axle during training.

Kuva
Let's get it down brothas!! Kuva

Kuva
Hmmm.. yeah. Final gear doesn't look very promising. Allthought the bearings were in perfect shape. Kuva

Kuva
New idler- and final gear.

Kuva
Would this make it more silent?

Kuva
Sure it did! KuvaKuva

Time for a small update.

Kuva
Been driving few packs lately. Kuva

Kuva
Training in a pro course.

Kuva
The ground clearance seems to be an issue here and there, but no more that I used to have with the Superjuice.

Kuva
I've driven few batteries with it now and only broke a steering arm. Seems to be quite tough little buddy. Kuva

Kuva
Fully compressed in action. Kuva

Kuva
Still most of the time my constrantration goes to my radio. But I'm sure it'll get easier as time goes. Kuva

Kuva
Pins seems to have an excellent grip nearly every spot. Kuva

Kuva
On the other day I was training in a diffrent spot. Much more grippier and more sharp edges here. And it still goes like a beast. Kuva

Kuva
I've managed to keep it on it's wheels quite well. Kuva

Next week I'll finish building it for now. Gotta measure the wb and assemble the links so it'll be somewhere near 17,5". Also I'll have to glue the sliders and put the electronics behind the front motor. Then it's good to go for more practice. Kuva

Time to finish this rig before doin more training! Kuva

Kuva
I'll start by looking inside of the front axle.

Kuva
I also found a way to use the Dlux front uppers. By turning this thing around. Kuva

Kuva
While opening the gearbox I found out that my bearing from the end of the final gear is in three million pieces. Kuva Good thing I opened this now.

Kuva
VP upper link mount turned around and the bearing problem solved.

Kuva
Next job is to measure that the wheelbase is same in both sides.

Kuva
Dlux titanium uppers attached. Kuva

Kuva
Perrfecto! Kuva

Kuva
Turns out that the links were just the right size. I'll have to use my head to make this thing work. Kuva

Kuva
Wheelbase is now the same on both sides. Just under 17,5".

Kuva
A while back Yzik asked me a side pics without wheels. Here they are.

Kuva
Rear driver side.

Kuva
Front driver side.

Kuva
Rear passenger side.

Kuva
Front passenger side.

Kuva
Also got a new electronics mount behind the front motor from Dravpnir. Kuva

Kuva
Attached. This is a great invention! Kuva

Kuva
It's a perfect fit in there! Kuva

Kuva
The electronics stuffed in there.

Kuva
There will be just enough room for them.

Kuva
Nearly ready RTR weight reading. Kuva

The next day I started with soldering the electronics.

Kuva
Will make some wires shorter and some longer.

Kuva
Rear wiring and assembling done.

Kuva
Front done now as well. Kuva

Kuva
Looks like a mess, but they are well organized there. Kuva

Kuva
Pic from below.

Kuva
I have been waiting for this moment a long time. It's finally ready!! KuvaKuvaKuvaKuva

Kuva
And then I forgot that I have to glue the lower link sliders. In this pic it's done as well! Kuva

Kuva
Final RTR weight reading. Kuva

Kuva
All of my rigs are now ready for tomorrows comp day. For super it'll be just training, but this year I at least do that. Kuva

What a feeling after a long winter to finally have them all ready. Kuva It's been a crazy ride. Now I'll constantrate on driving. Kuva

It is a pleasure to drive this thing. Even more with MT-4 and rear steer on the lever. After getting used to that, it all goes like a dance. Kuva

Kuva
Not really too much practising last saturday. Got the time for running one course after pro class had did it. Kuva

Kuva
I was thrilled to show everyone the newcomer. Kuva

Kuva
It has to be the most attacking rig I've ever had in terms of the looks. Kuva

Kuva
There's still so much to learn from this rig. Will have to do a lot's of driving before the big comps. Kuva

Kuva
That upper gate I hit by an accident. Not paying enough attention. Kuva

Kuva
And that ground clearance. KuvaKuva

Kuva
Suspension seems to be on "the" spot right now.

Kuva
Just enough flex, so it's easy to control. Kuva

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=p ... XDhYLM9ggQ
And here it is on video!

Everything works flawless and I'm ready to do more driving as the weather is improving here. Kuva

Time for final update for the rig.

Kuva
Update pack arrived.

Kuva
Pauli4x4 Designs 3D printed hex hubs. A little bit narrower than the VP ones. Kuva

Kuva
It's there and the colour is correct! Kuva

Kuva
Turns out I need wider ones. It's not clearing my knuckleweight holders. Kuva I'll order a new set.

Kuva
Finally I can get rid of the awful white motor guards. Some Custom Fiber CF awesomeness. Kuva

Kuva
No more color mismatches. Kuva

Kuva
Old front lexan motor guard. Kuva

Kuva
YES! I'm super happy of all the components in this rig. Kuva

Kuva
Some RC4WD upper link spacers to the chassis. Great product this. Kuva

Kuva
Got balance?

Kuva
Went out for a battery a while ago.

Kuva
Some training before my hands got too cold to drive. Kuva

Tomorrow we'll have the fourth comp of the year. I'll try to get some training with this as well. Kuva

Did some more training yesterday.

Kuva
With 2.2 courses the most difficult thing is the gate wideness. Rig barely fits in there and that makes it hard.

Kuva
At least with this sort of training, I get a lot of shaprness in my driving.

Kuva
With the rear steer in the lever, rig feels unbeliveably good to drive.

Kuva
This time nothing broke either! Kuva

Kuva
Only thing I found out, is that I don't have enough time to drive with this during our comp days. I'll have to go and do some super training days. Kuva

Kuva
And still I haven't got a lot I would change currently.

Kuva
With the rig being so light, it's sometimes hard to predict it's acting.

Kuva
But that is what the training is for. Kuva

Kuva
Tried this bonus, but it was impossible for me without gate. The front tires couldn't grab the top.

Kuva
I'm beginning to fell comfortable with the rear steer, from now on I can fully train myself to know where it lifts a tire etc...

Kuva
Still not regretting for making another super. Kuva

Kuva
Can't wait for the Nordics in june. Kuva

Nothing to report here!

Kuva
Except some training. Couple of days and few batteries behind. Kuva

Kuva
Rig still feels awesome. I think I've finally found the confidence to drive it like it should be driven.

Kuva
We have two more comps before this rigs first comp against other supers in the Nordics. I'll do some more batteries, and then I think I'm ready to go against Norway, Sweden and France! Kuva

Last training before the first comp of this rigs career.

Kuva
Week ago in our local comp.

Kuva
Now I feel I have done "enough" training to reach the good basic performance of this thing.

Kuva
Still it manages to suprise me on every driving session. Kuva

Kuva
Going for the tricky bonus. Never made it with any of my rigs. It truely was a tricky one.

Kuva
Sidehilling is like childs play with 4ws.

Kuva
Another bonus on the edge.

Kuva
As you can see from this pic I snapped quite a few pins off from all four tires. The grip became much better. I wasn't sure at first to do so much cutting, but luckily I did. Kuva

Kuva
Tricky bonus three. This was a pro class course.

Kuva
It's there. Kuva

https://youtu.be/SA61LQb06_Y
Here is the first course of the morning in video. Pretty pleased how it did the sixth gate. Kuva

Kuva
On the next day it was time to prepare it for the big comp. New lexan cover for the electronics behind the front axle.

Kuva
The old shrink has began to wear off.

Kuva
Ugly as hell, but it covers my electronics at least.

Kuva
Changed some screws in the chassis, which were too weak to be aluminium. Like front and rear upper link screws. I'll get the set of spacers for my 3D printed hex hubs in Norway. I'll attach them there. Otherwise it's ready for the first battle! Kuva

Kuva
So are my other rigs. Good feeling to be well prepared early. Kuva

My goal is to fight for the win of course. Eleven rigs registered for the comp, which is really good number of rigs bearing in mind that there was only 17 in the Worlds last year. One finnish, two swedish, two french and six norwegian rigs. It's gonna be a good first comp. Can't wait! Kuva

Kiitokset! Pettymys kaivertaa kyllä mieltä. Mutta oma moka...

So, first comp behind with this rig and I'm pleased of how it is working.

Kuva
Course one was the most fun of the day.

Kuva
I had zero problems with the rig apart from the salty ocean water on my deans plugs. Luckily that was no big deal.

Kuva
Coming down from gate three.

Kuva
Smooth, no mistakes so far. Kuva

Kuva
Gate seven and down we go again.

Kuva
Going for last two of the gates. Behind you can see the staggering scenery of this comp site! Kuva

Kuva
Voodoo pins gave me all the traction there is.

Kuva
Course two was the decider course this time.

Kuva
Here. I chose little bit wrong line and ended up dipping the whole front tire into the hole. Ten point reposition was the only way to deal with it. KuvaKuva

Kuva
After that stupid mistake everything went relatively well.

Kuva
Going for gate six up top.

Kuva
Used every trick I knew to make the turns without reverse.

Kuva
There wasn't too much room for turning.

Kuva
Last two gates ahead!

Kuva
On the first try I chose the wrong line and almost flipped the whole thing over. Took one reverse to escape it clean.

Time for some video! Kuva

Course 1 - (-20/-20)
https://youtu.be/THLpmE8VL1k
My favorite course all day. Starting from the top of the rock and coming down at first. No bigger issues except gate eight, which I almost forgot. Kuva

Course 2 (-9/-20)
https://youtu.be/DOsA3mG7EfM
This was the course where something did go wrong. Before gate three I got stuck and had to take a reposition. That was too expensive mistake in a three course competition. Kuva Last gate was a tricky one, but after searching the line for more than a minute I found it. Happy about everything else but the repo...

Course 3 - (-10/-20)
https://youtu.be/O6U351VuS6c
This course was basically just walk thru till the very last gate. Gate ten was a vertical cliff, that only one rig passed without bigger problems. I tried to go from the side couple of times, but just couldn't see it going there. Rig was just wide enough to fall from the rock both times. Eventually I just rode the gate over.

Ps. Sorry for all of the salt on the lens. Ocean was a bit rough that day and there was nothing we could do that would help it. Kuva

Kuva
Eventually I ended up second spot only six points behind the winner Bolt on.

Kuva
I'm only dissapointed because of my own mistake on that reposition. Otherwise it would've been business as usual. Kuva

Kuva
You have to get what you deserve, I guess. Kuva

Kuva
Allthough luckily I didn't go home empty handed. Kuva Thanks for all of the guys who made this weekend possible! Good times! I'm afraid that the next competition for this rig will be in EuroCrawl on november.

Todella kurjaa...  :P :-X

A little preparation was in place for this rig too.

Kuva
Opened the axles and saw what's where. Kuva

Kuva
Everything looks good, so I added VP grease in there. Kuva

Kuva
Front axle was good as well. I haven't been driving too much with this though. Kuva

Kuva
Everything set for the second comp with this rig!

Kuva
Made some stupid mistakes in Norway on June and now it's time to learn from them. Gonna do few days of training before the comp to get "the" feeling. Kuva

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... lI/pubhtml#
Here you can find live scoring of EuroCrawl 2015. Super will be driven on friday. Kuva

Kuva
This comp is long waited. There isn't too many super comps in europe and personally I like this class the most. Kuva My goal is  to be European Champion. Kuva But as in shafty, there will be some pretty unforgiving contenders. Fingers crossed! Kuva

Time to sum up the weekend in EuroCrawl.

Kuva
I arrived at Almuñécar already on sunday.

Kuva
This was our great hotel during the week. 50m to the rocks. Kuva

Kuva
We got some training with Arttu, who also had bought a super. Now I can really start training in Finland too! Kuva

Kuva
Positive feelings in training. Nothing broke and the rig was performing well.

Kuva
Eating lunch on friday before the super class. Kuva

Kuva
Doing organisation stuff meant, that I really didn't have any time to "worry" about my performances and competing. I think this was a big key to success. Kuva

Kuva
Finishing course one. Really long course with tricky gates.

Kuva
Didn't have time to try the other bonus though. Kuva

Kuva
Finished! That's good way to begin.

Kuva
My buddy Fred a.k.a Cirederf asked if he could double start with me in super class. Why not?! It was awesome to see his progress during this one competition already! And it was great to see the rig making twelve courses without bigger problems. Kuva

Kuva
Going for the bonus on Fanatic RC course.

Kuva
On this course the rig really showed it's best side. Really easy to handle on these rocks. Only thing I noticed, that I might need smoother motors for this kind of grip. Or smaller pinions. Kuva

Kuva
Here is the third course. "Norwegian revenge!" Kuva

Kuva
This side up. Kuva

Kuva
It was the worst course for me in the whole competition all classes included. -10 points only. Kuva But hell, it was really hard.

Kuva
Crawler Keller course on the way. I was the only one to finish this. Kuva

Kuva
Really cool gate with super.

Kuva
Gate four in progress. The course was really close to the cliff, so driver had to be extra cautious.

Kuva
Not choosing the obvious line for fifth gate.

Kuva
All or nothing! Kuva Going for the bonus.

Kuva
My christmas came early. You see the fishing wire in the front axle? That didn't have any effect on this performance, thank god. Kuva

Kuva
With this kind of hurry, I didn't find the right line for this gate. Kuva

Rig posing in the sun before the fifth course.

Now a long waited section! Video corner. Kuva

Krawler Konceptz Course (-19/-40)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nq4Gi5T3QPs

First course since Nordics. Don't know what happened on the very first gate, where I hit a marker. Just a little change in the terrain and whole rig moved few inches. Kuva I knew I had to be quick on this course, cause the distance between first and last gate was guite big. Didn't have time to drive the other bonus, but I'm relatively happy with this score as well. Only bummer was the first gate.

Fanatic RC Course (-40/-40)

I was one of the guys to build this course. I managed to throw in some serious lines and good gates. It was really fun to drive this. Allthough a little excitement on the seventh gate, when the rig rolled into a hole. Recovery of the century came right after that. Kuva Really loved this course! Kuva

Holmes Hobbies Course (-10/-40)

Then it was time for the trickiest course of the weekend. (At least for me) First gate was easy downhill, but gates 2 to 4 were really tough time killers. Gate two was familiar from the Nordics. I call it "Brumle edition". Kuva No hard feelings Asle. This time it made no exception and I had to take the gate. Third gate was something spectacular as well. My plan almost worked out, until I bounced back on the gate again. Darn! Kuva To gate four I had to find line for a long time. Luckily I had just enough ground clearance to make it from the easy line. Rushed off the rest of the course with one bonus and made it thirteen seconds before the bell rang. Kuva Challenging, but extremely fun course!

Crawler Keller Course (-19/-40)

In this course we had bit of problems with the camera. Battery died before the first gate and Sofi tried to turn it on again few times and managed to shoot few moments of the course. Too bad, cause this was one performance to remeber! Kuva Right after first gate some fishing wire got round of my tire and axle. Fortunately it didn't have any effect on my performance. Kuva I drove both of the bonuses, which were relatively easy, but relly close to the sea. At gate eight, I had wrong line approaching it, but didn't have enough time to fix it so I hit a marker. Tried gate nine several times from the bottom, but after hearing that there's fourty seconds left went to the top to straddle it. Managed to clear gate ten with five seconds remaining. No wonder nobody else made it through. Kuva

Team Ottsix Course (-18/-40)

Another course made by me. This time it didn't go as well as in Fanatic RC course. First three gates, no problem. At fourth gate, I wasn't able to climb on top of the cliff to hang my tire and climb up. Tried the line from the side, but rig got in bad position and I had to take the marker. This was a tough gate with all honesty. At eight gate my approach was poor and I dropped off from the cliff. Drove the other bonus and straddled the gate to make it in time. Few stupid mistakes, but no bigger harm done. Just need to practise more how the rig is reacting in sidehills. Kuva

RcBros Course (-30/-40)

Last course for me of EuroCrawl 2015. Wanted badly to make good performance here. Kuva Everything went well up untill the fourth gate. I was already through the gate when the rig bounced back on it. Kuva This is purely one of those reactions of the rig, that I know only by driving with it more. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Kuva Rest of the course went really well though, so this didn't feel too bad after all. Tasting the champagne at the end, was really perfect end to a perfect opening day of EuroCrawl! Kuva

Kuva
